After photographing them last year, I was especially excited to be asked to photograph the Petrini family again. Kristin wanted to update their family photos to include Aiden, the oldest brother, who wasn't available for last year's photoshoot.
Kristin and I went back and forth discussing the best photography spots in San Jose, and I'm so glad we settled on Guadalupe Oak Grove Park. As a Bay Area family photographer, I love shooting here – the light and airy feel made the photoshoot an absolute dream.

Offering some of the most beautiful Palo Alto photo spots, Guadalupe Oak Grove Park was the ideal location to capture the Petrini Family's love and laughter.
Nestled in San Jose's Almaden Valley, the 62.7-acre park boasts lots of greenery and majestic oak trees, providing a perfect backdrop for The Petrini Family's photoshoot. There's ample natural light, with the most amazing sunset views over the San Jose Bay Area hills. The walking paths are rarely crowded, so we could take our time and focus on getting the perfect shots.
Guadalupe Oak Grove Park is a popular spot for family photos, especially around the holidays. It's easy to see why: the park offers a peaceful atmosphere with lots of natural beauty. It's always advisable to book your photoshoot early and beat the holiday rush – just like the Petrini family did!
Summer Family Photography
The Petrini family's photos from this session are gorgeous. After the online gallery was delivered, I provided the family with a mock-up for wall art. Decorating the walls of your home with photos adds a lovely personalized touch, and by providing proofs and mock-ups, it was easier for the family to envision how their portraits would look.
